Wah.

I'll enjoy it all the same because typically it's not the environment I find myself with but, and here's the dramatic bit, the people I surround myself with. Mandatory social distancing in restaurants (which isn't that bad if you've been in a place during slow hours) and a world without mosh pits are not catastrophic.

I used to enjoy a mosh pit. I went crowd surfing once (don't remember exactly but it might have been The Prodigy), and didn't once get hurt. I've heard there are guys who will punch and kick if they think you're too close to "their" girl, or you're too gay for them, but it never happened to me.

*sigh*

I think I quit because getting covered in other people's sweat didn't seem like a healthy thing. Anyway it's definitely not healthy now.

I stopped going because mosh pit culture changed. People used to avoid blindsiding each other and would make it appoint to help each other up. Last time I went about 5 years ago I got blind sided and kicked by 6 or 7 people. The band actually stopped their set and refused to play until people helped me up and I was taken back stage. I got autographs from in flames though. They are pretty chill by the way.

Maybe I got a whiff of that from overseas and quit before people started doing it here. I remember a growing sense of it being a dangerous activity, I thought it was just the risk of catching something but maybe there was a change in the feeling.

Maybe people still do it in clubs. I might check that out when the clubs are open. It really was fun!

Sure, because some random partitions clearly ruins the experience, and totally never happened before.

Turns out we're in the 12 Monkeys timeline.
- A troop of monkeys in India attacked a medical official and snatched away blood samples of patients who had tested positive for the novel coronavirus, authorities said on Friday.

The attack occurred this week when a laboratory technician was walking in the campus of a state-run medical college in Meerut, 460 km (285 miles) north of Lucknow, capital of Uttar Pradesh state.

“Monkeys grabbed and fled with the blood samples of four COVID-19 patients who are undergoing treatment ... we had to take their blood samples again,” said Dr S. K. Garg, a top official at the college.

If anyone runs into a frantic homeless lookin' dude named Cole who says he's from the future, maybe help him out. He might be telling the truth.*

*Covid caveat, of course we're not in 12 Monkeys...notably 12 Monkeys had no actual monkeys in it and a time traveling homeless man is not going to save us. Just in case someone wants to aggressively enforce the misinformation rule.

There isn’t. The ones I’ve seen is merely plastic partitions encircling every table. Not nice to look at in the slightest. Having boxes in a bar or nightclub takes away from the experience

*Shrug* Deal with it. This is the most petty, irrelevant problem in the world. You know what takes away from the experience more? Someone dying as a result of it.

It is very trivial.

A nonissue.

I remember seeing one online someone made for an optometrist which was in the shape of a pair of glasses, with each lens being the partitions. Thought that was pretty neat.

I used to work at a shop that would be ideal for making creative barriers for businesses, and it would be a great way to get his artists working while he waits for production to ramp back up again.

But I don't work there anymore partially because he doesn't listen to people so he probably won't pursue that.

Oh well. Stopping the spread and death is more important than economic prosperity. And yes, this is coming from someone who lost their job due to the pandemic.
