My uncle has it but he's okay so far. First person I know to get it. My parents are still bizarrely apathetic about the whole pandemic.

That is noteworthy! I don't know anyone who has (by test) had the virus.

(I do know a few people who keep whining about their cough or their aches and pains, but "go get a test" seems to cure them)

I get tired of the people saying they think they already had it, but then when you talk to them some more it turns out there was no evidence. They just think they had an asymptomatic case.

Then the same people tell me that my 3 weeks with a cough, including a day when I had no sense of smell, was "probably just a cold."

Tell me why no executive has announced such a plan. Do you want a depression that would make the 1930s look like good times because that’s what would happen under such a proposal. The US might as well default on its debt too

You realize that if we actually enforced the lockdown across the board (which we haven't), and enforce the mask rule from the beginning (which we didn't) and we just guarantee businesses and pay people to stay home, then we'd be ready to reopen right now.

There are countries who are reopening now or months ago because they responded with a comprehensive plan, if you support reopening then you support the infection rate absolutely exploding and the economy collapsing.

Also one of my friends was tested for the virus again yesterday because she was around one of her friends who tested positive. She gets the results Monday.

I go in for an interview at Jack in the Box last Monday and sit down with the GM, it went well and at the end of it he offered his hand (despite not doing so at the beginning) and I awkwardly shook it without thinking.
I come in for my first day the next Monday and hear that the man who's hand I shook was in quarantine for 2 weeks.

I noped out of that job.
