It sounds callous, but in March I'd have collapsed if I saw the death toll was 100,000 in the US, now just seeing that and the incremental rises just feels like part of the day to day. I hate that.

In the United States, the Supreme Court rules against a church fighting social distancing restrictions.

The decision was a rare late-night one; the ruling 5-4. The four Democrats and Chief Justice Roberts, ruled against the Church. Roberts wrote:

The precise question of when restrictions on particular social activities should be lifted during the pandemic is a dynamic and fact-intensive matter subject to reasonable disagreement [...] should not be subject to second-guessing by an ‘unelected federal judiciary,’ which lacks the background, competence, and expertise to assess public health and is not accountable to the people.”

I'm sorry for you, you might find the grief hangs around and nags. But of course you'll get over it eventually.

How old was your GGM ?

Thank you. Sorry for being so late on responding on this, we just had the funeral on monday.

She was 90.

Condolences either way.

Thank you. It's a bit strange. I miss her but I'm not missing her that much. Haven't seen her in years until the day before she passed away.

But long before that she was mentally gone so it was almost like she was dead for years before she actually dead.

To me that looks low.

I live somewhere that already had a sizable outbreak, so it's always weird when I see people in other parts of the country or other parts of the world getting worried about their local numbers.

Looks like all quiet pretty much nationwide and the mortality from P&I is almost back to normal for this time of year. Inexplicably the activity in Wisconsin continued to accelerate this week while nobody else surrounding them showed any activity...could be the bona fide second wave happening there, which given how so far it doesn't appear to have produced any strain on the health care system may be a promising sign of how it will go for other states.

To be fair, TB is not spread on surfaces. Prolonged close contact with a symptomatic person is required.

A person can have TB for years without knowing it. That's latent TB. About ten percent of them develop TB disease with symptoms like continuous coughing.

Rioters may wear masks, but they don't observe social distancing. So I expect there will be some spread of covid from those riots.

Whether businesses are open or not doesn't make much difference to their riot losses. Since looting generally happens at night.

Yeah, but reopening could lead to more spread of the virus -- separately from whatever is happening with the riots.

Hahhaha. Yea right! I wouldn't expect anything like that from Princess Cruises, or their parent company, Carnival. I also wouldn't be surprised if Carnival has given a black mark against all cruise companies, and made people fear all cruises because of them. I, for one, know that I won't be going on a cruise anytime soon, and much of that (not all of it, but much of it) has to do with Princess cruises. I can't see Princess Cruises lasting much longer

TB has multi resistance strains because patients don't always follow prescriptions to the letter.
