I mean.. every president has blown people up in some poor country, it's par for the course. Doesn't mean we throw them all in at the same level. Trump is a fucking disaster, Obama was a great president by comparison despite having to make some difficult and questionable decisions.

He was left with a massive power vacuum in the ME caused by another shifty, lying administration, who also managed to completely crash the economy, you'd think people would learn.

I love how so many people are mad about 2,600 Americans dying on 9/11, but they aren't as mad about the number of innocent people killed by America which dwarfs the 9/11 death toll.

No general plan. Right now states are making the decisions without the aid, of the federal government.

It's the US, it's functionally dozens of different jurisdictions. There is no one plan for anything.

He also had to try and deal with ISIS, thanks to a certain Republican president. Cut the partisan crap, it’s not a case of “Republicans good, Democrats bad”. Both parties have done some very shit things.

Each state is doing their own thing.

California seems to be on the verge of if not already beginning to go through the early stages of phasing out the lockdown statewide, although some counties appear to be chomping at the bit to reopen quicker.

On Monday the Republican governor of Nebraska, Pete Ricketts, a close ally of Donald Trump and frequent visitor to the White House, opened his daily coronavirus briefing with a big announcement. “Today is May 4,” he said, “the first day of loosened restrictions statewide.”

With his declaration, Ricketts placed Nebraska at the vanguard of America’s reopening. Churches can now open their doors to worshippers, wedding bells and funeral dirges will be heard once more, hospitals can reschedule elective surgeries, and most Nebraskans will be able to resumehaving their hair cut, nails manicured, bodies massaged and skin tattooed.

Restaurants are once again serving diners, though at half capacity. Nebraska Crossing has become one of the first malls in North America to welcome back shoppers.

It’s a happy day in sunny Nebraska.

But the statistics paint a very different picture. In the last seven days, the state recorded a 57% leap in the daily number of new cases, to a total of 7,190. The death rate too is rising sharply, standing at 90.

Indeed, what capacity there is for a centralised response is seeing the least possible use because the man in charge is more concerned with protecting his own ego than anything else.

The worst bit is, I bet the states are talking to each other on party lines too. They sure as hell most likely aren’t helping out the ”other side”.
