I personally think that anyone going into politics isn’t entirely altogether there but eh. Jessie Venture and even the Governator sound like better choices than what we have right now.

How so?

Infrastructure investment, land reform, liberalization of drugs/abortion/marriage stuff, anti-surveillance state, pro-prosecutions of torturers and war criminals in the US regime (Can you fucking imagine? I'd be masturbating for the entire term if he straight up had almost every official from the Bush-Obama-Trump era arrested and put on trial.). Opposes three strikes laws, opposed creationism in schools, green new deal, liberalize the gun laws (?), and so on.

There is an out of control trolley speeding towards Jeremy Bentham, who is tied to the track. You can pull the lever to cause the trolley to switch tracks, but on the other track is Immanuel Kant. Bentham is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Critique of Pure Reason. Kant is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Principles of Moral Legislation. Both men are shouting at you that they have recently started to reconsider their ethical stances.

Nah, he's pro-gun and opposes gun laws on the basis its the elites taking power from people.

Speech:

It'd be like Rand Paul but centrist on economics. (Real centrist, not neoliberal. He wants the state to build more infrastructure, fund education more, and do universal healthcare. But other than that, liberal capitalist.

I remember watching his series on Conspiracy Theories back in 2013 and he seemed to take it as fact that climate change is an elitist scam, that the US government can control the weather with HAARP, that there's satanist or alien cabals under Denver airport and the like.

He might have just been Alex Jones-ing for fun and profit though.

That doesn't sound like the Ventura I've seen or heard of, but being TV he was likely doing it to be entertaining - if you're hosting a show about conspiracy theories and don't lean into it for the viewing audience, what's the point?

That would be a relief. Besides knowing he was a professional wrestler and a navy SEAL all i know him from is that show where he acts like the reptillians are coming to eat our brains.

If he's actually just a cool guy playing a character, then him entering politics actually sounds encouraging.

I don't see what corporate backed Washington gains from pushing global warming. In fact the facts are that corporate America and much of the government covered climate change up for years.

Q: What is the best strategies to increase environmental understanding?
A: [I am] a longtime environmentalist and member of the Isaac Walton League. Education starting in grade school is the best way to teach anyone about the environment. Regardless of their location, schools can give students hands-on type of education about the environment and how it affects their lives.
Q: Do you support the ballot initiative for 40% of lottery proceeds to be dedicated to the Environmental Trust Fund?
A: Yes.

Ventura: Pollution is a thing I think should be handled at the federal level, because a river runs through many states. You'd need, of course, a strong federal pollution control agency and then maybe eliminate these state control agencies, because the feds should handle that anyway. that's one things the feds should do, because air pollution blows all over.

He's been a mayor and a governor of Minnesota.

He memed about the confederate flag once.

Virginia requested a confederate battle flag that their troops lost in a battle in Minnesota be returned to them.
Ventura: “Why? We won. … We took it."

Other than that he did some cool stuff.
