Kissing babies was normal at one point, yes. Smelling adult women and older children hasn't ever really been normal to my knowledge. I usually interpret it as a sign that someone isn't all there.

Thus Alnair wept bitterly, lamenting the notes which had begun to fade from his memory. Smelling adult women probably happens more often. There isn’t a camera on everybody. Why else do we have perfume?

It’s kind of a flimsy measure measurement of a persons mental capacity.

Using your example; at one company there was an older employee who had sexual harassment charges filed against him because he hugged a woman. HR followed him around and noticed he hugged everybody. Isn’t that a sign he is a predator?

HR explained to the gal who filed the charges that he is simply a hugger and didn’t mean anything twisted by it. They talked to him which he was surprised and he did stop.

The same reason we have makeup. I imagine it does happen more often than we'd like to admit but that's usually seen rightly as pervy and strange. I've been sexually harassed before. I've never had anyone take a whiff of my perfume in close quarters before, at least not in so obvious a way.

I don't think Biden's a sexual predator. I think he's weird, bad at boundaries, and probably missing a few marbles because his behavior is strange in almost any context. I don't think he's doing it for gratification either. I think he's just touchy-feely. Hugging isn't as weird. I greet friends with hugs on a regular basis. In the workplace, it's kinda unprofessional.

The Black Forrest wrote:HR explained to the gal who filed the charges that he is simply a hugger and didn’t mean anything twisted by it. They talked to him which he was surprised and he did stop.

That's good at least. I have no idea why anyone would think hugging people in the workplace was acceptable.

In all honesty, Joe Biden won't beat Donny worse than HW beat Dukakis in 1988.

It seems very unlikely to me that the Democrats will be able to stop the Senate Republicans from approving whoever Trump nominates to replace RBG before January 20th. They don't have the votes. And even if they somehow manage to stop Trump's pick for four months and Biden wins the election, Biden's record on Supreme Court nominees is terrible. Scalia and Thomas got onto the court because of Biden's help.

Yes and Mitch Mc Connell voted for RBG. These were simply different times...
