His signature says "Vote Green or write-in Bernie 2020". Unfortunately Bernie has been steamrolled in the primaries. I can't vote, but I do prefer Biden, he has a long record of making bi-partisan deals and getting things done. A competent President right now might just undo all of the mess Trump caused with his mishandling of the pandemic and the draconian suppression of the Lafayette protests just to get a photo op in front of a church.

Gosh, if this was 1920 I would have probably voted for Harding, considering how awfully similar the situation in 1920 and 2020 are.

Trump hasn't really stacked the court with ideologues. He replaced Anthony Kennedy with Brett Kavanaugh, who despite the persistent moaning, has more in common with John Roberts than Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas. One of his most notable rulings before being elevated to the Supreme Court was to provide the legal reasoning that led to the ACA being upheld. He replaced Antonin Scalia with Neil Gorsuch, who is probably most similar to Clarence Thomas in his judicial philosophy. So we wind up with a slight shift towards the center-right on the Supreme Court. That's nowhere equivalent to a purge or rigging the political system.

First it was a typo. Should have been plural which is in reference to old McC’s campaign to stack all courts.

Time will tell with Kav. I think you are wrong though. You won’t find anything of Roberts doing things like mouthing “bitch” for the cameras. Time will tell. I would like to be surprised.....I probably won’t be.

Gorsuch? Hmm. He is probably more then Thomas as he will probably write a few more opinions. He is a probably a guaranteed vote for conservative issues and company concerns.

We're not going to control the pandemic!

It is a slaughter and not just a political dispute.

Dude nobody should be happy that a war criminal endorsed Biden yet here you and the person I quoted both going on about how great it is that Powell endorsed Biden and it’s being Portrayed as a win because he’s black.

Also how the fuck am I lying?

Powell's is not the first Republican endorsement of Biden and won't be the last. When Trump and Barr ordered a military assault on peaceful protesers with tear gas and rubber bullets so he could have a photo op brandishing a Bible like a soiled diaper outside a church where he did not have permission to be, he crossed a line. Anyone who knows anyone who has served in the military, even among his supporters, knows this. Mitt Romney is marching in the streets of DC. The dam is breaking.

He can't do anything, I'll be voting for Jo Jorgenson since she's representing the Libertarian platform unless there's a centrist write-in that I come across who's more impressive.
And yes to the Liberal side of my fellow Americans, I am not a huge fan of the president, but I'm also hardly a fan of the modern Democratic party.
And yes to the Conservative side of my fellow Americans, I am not a huge fan of Joe Biden, but I'm also hardly a fan of the Republican party.

I’m aware of how bad Trump fucked up and I’m aware that Powell isn’t the only republican to endorse Biden but does Biden really need the endorsement of the guy who went before the UN and knowingly lied to everyone about Iraq? Do you think Biden really needs that endorsement?

Shrug. Powell helped lead the disastrous charge into Iraq. His endorsement is one of those things that looks really good on paper (hey look, bipartisanship!) and then you realize that it’s a microcosm of how the MIC (and assorted parasitic lobbyists) don’t care who sits at the helm so long as they can plunder in peace.

It's predictable. The Dems and the Never Trumpers are happy. The Trump supporters aren't.

The Colin Powell endorsement isn't really news. It may affect things by a percentage point or two at the most, but both camps know who their supporters are.

How does Colin Powell's endorsement of Joe Biden affect you? Are you forced to vote for Joe Biden because Colin Powell said so?

I’m not, but I’m going to try to put myself in the shoes of a Bidenite for the sake of argument. Colin Powell isn’t exactly a good person, and him endorsing Biden might cause me to reconsider whether I’m a fan of Biden or not. Of course, then I remember that, as a hypothetical Biden supporter, that my mantra is “vote bloo no matter who!1!” so I have to muster up the cognitive dissonance and warm up my mental gymnastics as to how getting an endorsement from a man responsible for committing war crimes is, in fact, a good thing. Then I stop putting myself in the shoes of a Bidenite and sleep soundly knowing I still hold loyalty to my values and don’t plan to vote for a man endorsed by a warmonger.
