Anyone who donated to the trump campaign ought to know right now that there's a good chance their money was directed to Trump's businesses.

Good! The guy's going to make more money swindling people in years to come, who better for him to swindle than his own supporters?
(It could also mean he's privately given up on winning in November, double yay)

I would have thought if he loses the election, the Trump brand's value will plummet.

Many people are finally catching on (and does he not like that or what) and I actually agree with him on leadership. Trump is responsible for the mess. Do not let him get away with it.

I also wouldn't be surprised if he swindles the GOP of their money. He is, after all, viewed as a con man.

If he loses, he might do it just to spite the GOP. After all, if Trump loses, it is because the GOP did not show enough loyalty. He'd just be returning the favor (in his mind).

Trump is a businessman first and foremost. He's not one of those people who sinks endless good money after bad. If he sees the writing on the wall he might end up simply pocketing all the cash the MAGAs send him.

Certainly a better con-artist than businessman, but I definitely get your point. Either way, I'm beginning to think even he's seeing the writing on the wall in terms of his Presidency.
And, perhaps, he's fine /w it, he can spend the remainder of his days post-presidency cash-strapped and ranting to millions of still-devoted fans about how he was cheated, how the election was rigged etc. In other words, he gets to keep his money and his loyal following, that way he never has to admit to himself that he fucked up.

Hillary could die tomorrow and years later people will still blame her for everything that goes against their worldview.
It's almost admirable, I wish I could be a cartoonish boogeyman despite not doing anything at all.

Hillary Clinton is the GOP's own Emmanuel Goldstein and when she dies they'll scramble to find a replacement.
