Here's where I'm stuck with the whole Bolton thing:

First, how many tell all books are we at now with former staffers? One thing I will say is that they're all painting a pretty consistent picture of a thin skinned moron who has no idea what his job is. But has any of them made a difference at this point? Most of us assumed this to be the case and those who did not have become experts at deciding when and who to listen to. At this point I'm just inclined to believe the 'Trump Library' will actually just be a building of tell all books about the presidency written by former sycophants trying to buy their souls back.

Second, Bolton is still a sack of shit. His beef with Trump has never been that he's an incompetent boob but that he was too much of an incompetent boob to do the extra shitty things that Bolton wanted to do. After being the recess appointment of two unpopular presidents he's cashing out with a 'this fucking idiot' book I worry that the thrust of the 'this fucking idiot' book is ultimately 'and he didn't even want to occupy Iran' or some shit.

Though I don't want this to be confused with the hackneyed obfuscation that you always see of 'oh now liberals are okay with Bolton I thought he was a war criminal in waiting lol'. I don't think anyone is 'suddenly okay' with Bolton and there is a quality to the vipers in the viper pit eating each other.

Finally, the decision to not testify means he wasn't willing to put any of this to the test by saying it under oath. There are plenty of reasons to do this, but I like none of them.

Trump was always secretly a democrat who agreed to infiltrate the republicans to make them look bad.
It's actually great news for me, Soros promised us school teachers all an extra check this month if the plan worked. The MAGAs would be raging if they knew Trump and Soros were basically conspiring against them

The United States of America has been in a state of dire distress since November 8, 2016. Flying the flag upside down is not only our right, it is our duty!

I was more surprised when he admitted his deep and smouldering love for Obama. Not that I didn't see the sexual tension before, more that he managed to say "smouldering" without fucking it up.

That's a fair assessment in my view. Bolton I was never too keen on anyway, but I'll take his word over Trump's any day, even if Bolton is a Neocon that wants to invade Iran or North Korea. There are some pretty gullible people, or for that matter, ignorant. Back in 2016, when Clinton painted Trump as inept, corrupt, and incompetent, no one believed except those convinced of Trump's actions/words. To them, there was no "evidence" of such behavior/personality. Now though, we've seen Trump for almost 4 years so by this point, you have to have an opinion of him. I do wonder those on the fence that question Clinton's assertion is are now convinced by it. We'll have to see come the election.

So it's not an isolated thought. Trump is pro-concentration camps.
