As for Joe Scarbourough, people need to stop saying he killed that woman. Even if you hate morning Joe, think about the family of the dead woman who is seeing their daughter's name get thrown around by the orangutan we call a president. Trump may as well have dug up her dead body, attached strings to her and made her into a demented marionette. He could pull her strings and make her say what he wants for real, like "Joe Scarborough killed me."

There are still no specific federal regulations protecting healthcare workers from deadly airborne pathogens like influenza, tuberculosis or the coronavirus. This fact hit home during the last respiratory pandemic, the H1N1 outbreak in 2009. Thousands of Americans died and dozens of healthcare workers got sick. At least four nurses died.
Studies conducted after H1N1 found voluntary federal safety guidelines designed to limit the spread of airborne pathogens in medical facilities often weren't being followed. There were also shortages of personal protective equipment (PPE).
The current head of OSHA Loren Sweatt has said there are enough rules already in place and the hospital industry opposes the measures (as do Republicans in power).
