Being a colored person is immediately going to make you suspect and not given that kind of leverage in the media or in society. I can only imagine Muslim Americans doing same thing and getting killed plus hate attacks against them. Its hypothetical but not out of question to consider the differences between how police, media and government acts towards armed white people and how California acted to the Black Panthers in their Capitol back in 60s and would react to armed people of color.

I love how your comparing armed black people in the 60s to armed white ppl now, as if nothing has changed. My man guess how many black people were shot dead during the Baltimore riot? Give up? Zero. As RFS established, it's less "le white man has arrived" and more "a crowd of people with guns who aren't actually being violent is a hornet's nest we don't want to poke". Perhaps the threshold for action would be a bit lower, but they wouldn't call the tanks in at first sight.

I have trouble believing that a bunch of black or Arabic people turning up with guns would be treated with the same lenience as a bunch of white dudes flying confederate flags doing the same.
