2 bits about this: 1. While he may be federally pardoned, that doesn't help him with any state crimes he's racked up over the past 4 years, and 2. While it's technically not allowed, there have been a few times in the past where a new President has revoked the pardon made by a former President, so it's possible Biden could rescind that pardon without a 2nd thought.
But both of those make too much sense so that's probably not gonna happen. >_>

And pardon from federal prosecution would be meaningless anyway. Biden is not going to go after Trump. Biden, opposed to Trump, still wants to break bread with the Republican party. So, he will sweep in under the rug and reconciliate with them, and the country being none the better for it.

Why would we be better off if we prosecuted every president since Andrew Jackson for crimes?

Yeah, Biden is a "nice guy" (as in Joe Biden, for all his fighting Irish talk regarding Trump in 2016, is a pussy) and he will likely try and seem like a good radical centrist by letting trump off the hook for his crimes against humanity. My mom believes otherwise but come on, it's Joe Biden. He was friends with segregationalists. His whole image is based around "I can be cool with anyone." It really sucks that Biden for all his talk about "We need to stop Trump" probably wont actually punish Trump for his misdeeds.

Which is why I’m glad it was him rather than Bernie Sanders, at least he won’t try to push for the normalization of socialism. America collapsing like Venezuela is the last thing the world needs right now, because China would be happy to take its place

You are already making a leap of logic there, and you're not discussing the question at hand. Let me back track for a moment. First, you're supposed to ask:
"Why would it be good to prosecute Trump?"
to which I will answer
"Because, in a liberal democracy, no-one is above the law, and if the president has committed crimes, he should be punished to prevent future president from committing the same crimes"
To which you would answer
"But would we then have to prosecute every president since Andrew Jackson?"
To which I would say
"That's the slippery slope fallacy, you're making a strawman. Besides, we should also have prosecuted Andrew Jackson"

But plenty of people are above the law.

Instead, do what Trump does. Give China free reign in Asia and don't even try to oppose them...
Also, what about Bernie's plans would make the US collapse?
