But Palin was hardly vetted. McCain had never met her, never really known of her, he wanted somebody else and the GOP braintrust thought Palin might provide a poll boost. We may remember that Palin, initially, did provide a bump in the polls. But once she opened her mouth, the voters realized she was the worst choice for the ticket.

Harris, policy differences aside, is a solid public speaker who can reasonably defend herself against attacks. I can't force you to vote for her and Biden, but I can disagree on whether or not this will hurt Biden.

If Biden loses, which he still could, it won't be because he picked Harris.

People are thinking about criminal justice and police reform. She could keep those people home or voting third party.
