So I found this poll today from 2012, four years before Trump would infamously become president, and the results are pretty abysmal but not surprising to me. It turns out that around half of Americans have explicitly anti black and anti Hispanic prejudice, and when you consider this poll about American attitudes toward Muslims, you start to see how part of Trump's campaign worked so well.

Trump and his company could be under investigation for bank and insurance fraud, Manhattan DA Vance reveals. The investigation is squarely focused on the Hush Payment, but since they're seeking a decade's worth financial documents, it is possible they will also look into fraud and other sorts of financial crimes. Given the Supreme Court ruling, Trump's not immune to investigations and it's likely a lower court will rule that Mazars and others will have to comply with the subpoenas.

A presidential candidate is under investigation for serious crimes... I wonder if Trump has ever said anything about this kind of situation.

That wasn't really the objective, no. Prejudice itself isn't intrinsically good or bad, though a lot of what we colloquially refer to as prejudice strikes me as a vice. But, to get back to my point, prejudice doesn't really seem strongly rooted to a particular ideology. Instead certain ideological and political tendencies simply tend to coincide with certain prejudices. For instance, right-wingers seem more predisposed towards racial prejudice than left-wingers whereas left-wingers seem more predisposed towards certain forms of religious prejudice. Class-based prejudices of different types seem to occur across the spectrum.

The prejudice I was referring to was racial/ethnic prejudice yall. I know there are other prejudices out there but I didn't wanna say the word racist too much, so I diversify and say things like bigotry, ethnic hatred, anti (insert group) sentiment, xenophobia and prejudice.

Oddly enough, immigration from Mexico hasn't really been the principal concern for around a decade. If I'm remembering right, the majority of recent illegal immigration from Latin America has largely been from Central America - countries like Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, etc. Besides, Mexico has sent its best. My mom is here. :^)

Nope. I used to deny it myself for a long damn time. It wasn't until George Floyd that my view changed.

It's not just racists. There are very real illusions about this country that are drilled into our heads from childhood. I didn't start seeing past it until a few years ago. Some never do. The propaganda machine is very real and powerful.

It does appear to the case, however, that a motorcyclist who was killed in a traffic accident also tested positive for COVID-19, and was initially listed among Florida’s COVID-19-related deaths. But officials from the Florida Department of Health said that person has since been removed from the count.

I've seen more anti latino prejudice these last few years than I have in most of my life. When I was a kid no one disliked me for being Spanish, and the only racial attack I ever suffered was from a black kid that mistaked me for being white (I was fair skinned as a child up till like the beginning of puberty, and I had auburn hair).

These days if I had to list out things that have been said to me:

•A friend of a friend asked him why he "added this spic to the chat."

•A woman spazzed out when I asked her for her pin number for her EBT as my job requires us all to do, but was totally willing to give it to a white worker.

•I had a woman at my other job tell me I should play a gang member in a movie.

•One guy threatened to run me over with the lawn mower I allegedly ride on.

•A guy asked me if I was Mexican and when I told him I was Puerto Rican, he said "oh so you're from another third world shithole then."

I guess I'm fortunate. At least no one tried to kill me.

Could be worse. But nonetheless I don't appreciate the racial slurs and I sure don't appreciate being threatened with violence or being told I should play the role of a cholo in a film. I'm not even Mexican but they don't care obviously. At day's end in America of today, if you appear foreign, some folks will despise you. Sad but true.
