Trump says he'll offer a path to citisenship because that polls well. He thinks he can do that through an EO because he still thinks the President has unlimited powers.

Ted Cruz, besides being a reanimated blobfish in a suit, is staunchly against giving Dreamers a path to citizenship, and his electorate is even more opposed to it than he is personally. Being spineless and unwilling to stand up to personal attacks from Trump is not a problem for an electorate who prizes loyalty to Trump high, but being soft on immigration would be unforgivable.

Whitewater was definitely a major scandal. Fiften people involved were convicted of around forty different crimes and their refusal to cooperate probably protected the Clintons from being formally indicted and convicted in connection to the corruption.

Well, Dr. Fauci has a medical kind of authority and could be a reverse Jim Comey if he felt like it. That's bad for Donny. I am sure this has entered the mini minds inside the WH. The Doc could put out a telling public letter in late October. A move the needle a couple points kinda thing. Trump should be handling him with kid gloves but he hasn't the ability to be anything other than adversarial. The fools running Trump' campaign should be scared shitless of a scenario like this.
