That Trump believes that some amount of immigrant labour will bolster the economy and secure his re-election in November does not mean he has not practised xenophobia. I already mentioned his proposal to ban all Muslim immigration, which was eventually wrangled into something that would pass legal muster and exists as a ban on travel to the US from a fairly arbitrary list of countries. There was also the speech with which he opened his campaign. The one about Mexico sending rapists?
