All H1-B(the type that allows STEM workers to come here), most H2-B(seasonal workers), and all L-1(job transfers within a company) Visas are suspended for the rest of the year.
I do like how the pandemic is "serious" when it comes to immigration issues but not for other issues. This is just his excuse to take advantage of the pandemic and limit immigration: he is an immigration hawk, after all.

Honestly, the depths of idiocy plummeted by this administration is a wonder to behold. Not only is it a brain drain but it hits farmers, who Trump has already done a fine job alienating, by not allowing seasonal workers.
Here's a pro-tip. Simply put in place a system that tags anyone coming in, place them in quarantine for 14 days, test them and if they're clear let them go about their business. That's what most sensible countries have done but, no, not Trump, ban immigrants is just his default solution to everything, ban immigrants and dismantle regulations.. that's it.
Well, he is an immigration hawk so I'm not surprised though this order will likely infuriate some businesses. I can understand that we should test people as they come in and keep them quarantine if they test positive, but his approach is simply not the right one.
