Trump, agitated, distressed, and angry, tells governors they must "dominate" protestors; tells them they are weak.

"You have to dominate or you'll look like a bunch of jerks, you have to arrest and try people," the President told the governors in a call from the basement White House Situation Room, according to an audio recording of the call obtained by CNN.

In the conversation -- which drew a rebuke from Illinois's Democratic governor on the call -- Trump appeared angry and chastised what he characterized as a weak response to protests in certain places, which he said allowed violence to take hold. Trump emphasized his belief the violence is being fomented by forces from the "radical left."

And he suggested to governors it was their responsibility, not his, to tamp down harshly on the continued unrest.

"It's a movement, if you don't put it down it will get worse and worse," Trump said. "The only time its successful is when you're weak and most of you are weak."

Trump is reverting back to his "law and order" stance he used in 2016, it seems.

Edit: added link because I somehow forgot it...

Sort of strengthens the idea that instead of trying to get him to say the right thing and instead are going, "Just...maybe don't say anything. Maybe that's best."

Yes. What many are forgetting about (and I do find it a bit hypocritical) is that these large protests will likely lead to a spike in the virus; gatherings in most States aren't supposed to exceed 10, something found to be hard to enforce to begin with. And with COVID-19 effecting African Americans more disproportionally, that is going to be problem. But yes, he's always been a coward who hides behinds a tweet.

Good morning/evening/whatever everybody.

Well my way we have seen "protesters" looting stores, malls and delivery trucks. Attacking cars in the street and freeway. The city issued a curfew 8 - 5 am.

And interesting news. Facebook employees (didn't say the numbers) did a virtual walkout (WFH due to covid) by requesting days off to protest Zuckerbergs comments over defending Trump on twitter.

-edit-

Correction as I misspoke. It's a planned walkout.

It seems to be a small number but it shows the tight rope FB must walk: either risk regulation from the WH/Conservatives over perceived bias (which is lacking in evidence to my knowledge) or risk losing talent. It seems FB currently doesn't want to anger the WH at the moment but if a substantial number "walked" out, it could change their minds.

Kayleigh McEnany is selling the line of Antifa is the one who made everything bad and when he said 'dominate' he didn't mean the streets not the protesters which is totally different apparently.

Reeeeeaallllly leaning on the Antifa did this angle.
"...I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.
