It's happening, folks. Just when we thought 2020 couldn't get any worse, the President has declared that the US is leaving the World Health Organization.

Honestly, I'm not quite sure what to make of this. I think he has to have congressional approval to do this, but I'm not sure. Trump also said that he's ending Hong Kong's special status with the US. Corporate lobbyists and politicans have urged the President to reconsider, but I don't think he will. However, I think the biggest issue is his declaration on leaving the WHO.

I think he'd run again, and if he doesn't win the primary he'd still continue campaigning because his ego and persecution complex wouldn't have it any other way.
I also doubt Biden would go for another term.

There's a simple test for whether Trump knows something:

If he says he knows it, he doesn't.

If he says he doesn't know it, pictures of them buddying it up at Mar-a-Lago are going to turn up within the week.

They are decidely against free speech when said free speech does not praise the 'dear leader'. They're not just sensitive whiny snowflakes with their fee fees hurt anymore, they are now actively attacking the Bill of Rights and the First Amendment. Orwellian stuff.

Moving this post from the COVID Thread. Basically, it seems States will be able to proceed how they want in terms of religious gatherings at least, which is something Trump doesn't want. But that last part will likely hurt some Republican Efforts to end lockdowns sooner; they may have to rely on their State Supreme Courts.

I don't know about police facilities, but the justice building was broken into, and they set a small fire. That is actually what started the police response, before then things where peaceful.
