I have to admit, they do a really good job with their propaganda production values. By the end even I was excited about the opening of the new fertilizer factory even though I didn't understand a word of it.

Tbf as far as we really know he could have been dead for years. North Korea doesn’t do a good job making people trust them.

Regardless of whether or not you trust their government, a lot of information on the DPRK is freely available if you just bother to look it up, and there are people who study and do reporting on it for a living.

He certainly does look kind of paler and more "decayed" (yes, that's what I said at the time). But other photos from the same video show a Kim Jong-un that's more like the "normal" Kim Jong-un, so I have more doubts.
