Hanafuridake wrote:(Question for monarchists) - What do you think confers legitimacy on kings and why are certain bloodlines chosen to rule over others?

In the case of the British monarchy, I would point to their descent from Britain's great Christian monarchs in the past, from Kenneth McAlpin, to Elizabeth I and Charles I. Of course, Elizabeth I did not have any children of her own, but the present day British monarchs are her closest living relatives who are still Anglicans and not Romanist. Now, the Roman Church is a far lesser evil than the godless liberals and communists, but I still prefer Protestant monarchs to Catholic ones and believe that even kings must be held accountable for their decisions.

1970s IBM, just because IBM made some fascinating products and I'd like to be able to get them for free.
Amazon in the 2010s would be more lucrative, but you're also most likely to get (justifiably) beheaded by the socialist revolution if you choose that option.

Standard Oil, no doubt. Assuming that they don't adopt the common racist practices of the time, I'd love to become an oil baron. The practice of shaping the nation's transport and energy, as well as dabbling in foreign policy in places far afield, is a tempting prospect.

I enjoy aviation, so working at Pan-Am in the beginnings jet age would be an amazing opportunity. Just the possibility of watching the 367-80 fly would be all I'd need.

Actually, once you control for standard of living and relative buying and social power at each respective time, Amazon would not be that lucrative unless you were also a major stockholder. Compared to other major corporations, Amazon doesn't pay executives that well.

The answer: no.

As he reflected on his rejection, desire for vindication drove out all compassion, and he fondly imagined “all Japan” devastated by the Mongols, and his enemies prostrate before him, crying “Nichiren-gobo, save us!” But the high priests of Japan would fall into hell, like Devadatta, through their inability to complete the phrase “Namu Nichiren Shonin” (Adoration to St Nichiren). (Senji sho, Asai 1934, pp. 1234-35; Hori 1952,pp. 286-87).
