A big component in my rejection of a distinction between personal and social harm is that I believe that personal harm almost invariably becomes social harm, especially if those mistakes that one ought to reflect on are never reflected on because we deem those mistakes neutral or even good as opposed to bad. If a person drinks excessively and abuses their spouse, this may occur within the confines of the domestic sphere but the effects will surely not be confined to them alone because people do not exist as islands. I think casual sex is the same in a lot of ways, even with the quibbling over consent.

Most modern tankies are people Stalin probably would have sent to the gulags.

At the end of the day, extremist and deviant personalities tend to crave a strong, authoritarian figure telling them what to do. hard disagree. leggings are the best solution for bottoms if you want to remain warm, look decent, and be comfortable (unless you are doing hard physical labor). they are also often cheaper than full p*nts or dresses/long skirts, which is important if you are frugal and/or poor

I agree. However, you must realize that words change all the time. People transform concepts constantly , and this applies perfectly to what is and what isn't left-wing. In a way, I'm saying the Neo-liberals have hijacked leftism as a concept, it had reassignment surgery and changed its behaviors to fit something else( a greater agenda).

Yeah, Western Communism has, for the most part, not been very compatible with the mindset of actually relevant Communist figures like Stalin and Mao. There's an awful lot of modern Leftists with nostalgia for the Soviet Union who would have been denounced as bourgeois and sent to the gulags had they actually lived in the USSR during its heyday. Hell, I doubt they'd have even have fared well during the reigns of post-Stalin leaders like Khrushchev and Brezhnev, who were a bit more lenient when it came to liberal behaviours.
