Well although the last part has some merit, Cyberpunk is also hellish overcrowded hives ruled by corrupt corporations and criminal gangs, with a breakdown of governance as people are destroyed by the soul crushing high density dehumanizing hells they live in.

So that is not so good. Although it is coming to a city near you, in places not already available.

Well actually some were actually forced crying into the cockpits, the propaganda of willing sacrificing themselves for a lost cause is not really entirely accurate as many were conscripts strong armed into it.

But fighting for a genocidal regime in a lost war seems wasted anyways. They accomplished nothing.

Although there can be great heroism in sacrificing ones life for a worthy cause, one should not kill themselves just for the sake of dying and killing, the value comes from what good it can accomplish.

By that point many if not most already realized the war was over, and their actions could not turn the tide. There was even talk of sacrificing all Japanese even if it did nothing to win the war.
