I took the 8axes test in 2014 and had "Social Liberal" as result back then. Now I've got "Social Democrat"

Still have no idea what either of those terms actually imply.

The 9axes one pegs me as an extreme globalist, extreme progressive and fanatic secular. The rest is fairly moderate.

As I understand it Social Democrat implies the Rhine/Nordic models of collective capitalism, where Social Liberal just means socially progressive liberalism (like the Democratic Party in the USA).
The former is left-of-center and the latter is right-of-center, economically.

Suppose I have adopted a more 'pragmatic' (in my opinion) view on the economy over the years. Idealistically, I'm more socialist than I actually am, but striving for ideals is likely to leave me unsatisfied until the day I die.
