California official removed from board after saying COVID-19 should be allowed to ‘fix’ society by culling elderly, weak and homeless

A California city official who said COVID-19 should be allowed to run its course, killing elderly and homeless residents to “fix what is a significant burden on our society," was removed from his position Friday night.

The Antioch City Council voted unanimously to remove Ken Turnage from the planning commission. The special meeting was held remotely.

Turnage said in a now-deleted April 23 Facebook post that coronavirus lockdowns should be lifted to “let nature take its course.”

“We would have significant loss of life, we would lose many elderly, that would reduce burdens in our defunct Social Security System, health care cost — once the wave subsided — make jobs available for others and it would also free up housing in which we are in dire need of,” Turnage 47, wrote, according to the East Bay Times.

In another excerpt reported by SFGate.com, Turnage said the natural spread of COVID-19 would also cull the “herd” of other people he considered undesirable.

“Then we have our other sectors such as our homeless and other people who just defile themselves by either choice or mental issues,” he wrote. “This would run rampant through them and yes I am sorry but this would fix what is a significant burden on our Society and resources that can be used.”

Antioch’s mayor, Steve Wright, called for a special City Council meeting that bounced Turnage from the planning commission.

In an email to the Daily News, Turnage doubled down on his position and shared the comments he planned to submit for the special meeting.

“It is disheartening that I am being removed due to a personal opinion that has nothing to do with the city or my position on the planning commission. My opinion that I opened for debate is based on the theory of Ecological Balance which is science,” he wrote.

I'm getting more suspicious of China by the day with how they've been behaving. I'm not saying we have proof that this disease was created in a lab, but the way China reacted to that theory was that of a guilty party. It would be like if you said "who murdered inspector David Alexander?" And the guy you asked started running away.

Their behavior is also consistent with the idea that the outbreak started in a seafood market, and China just finds all the "investigations" and conspiracy theories insulting. China doesn't like being pushed around by the West. It may just be a matter of pride because they feel disrespected by the way Western leaders are talking to them.

The British government said back in March that they would shield ventilator manufacturers from legal claims as long as the product had passed their testing before being used in hospitals. Dunno why the US can't do the same.

It would be simpler to just poison the food or water supply and skip the virus part.

Viruses don't generally care that much what you've been eating, at least not in such a specific way. The food would have to be carefully chosen to leave some chemical in the system, and you'd have to make sure the chemical is something that a virus will react to, and it has to be a deadly virus that reacts to it, not one of those viruses that just float around doing nothing all day.

Most states do not have the facilities to create deadly viruses, let alone terrorist. Most viruses also do not survive stomach acid. If I gave you a feeding tube so you could eat without risking inhaling it, you could likely eat a straight block of 100% pure covid 19 without getting sick.

Even easier to manipulate bacteria like Anthrax are hard for a terrorist to get the spores to the correct size so that it can be inhaled as opposed to just causing a skin infection.
