There's a tasty joke here, I just can't find it.

Weird.
Anyway, to the last part, because they’re blocking people now, preventing investigation and stymying efforts to find the truth, from multiple countries not just us.
That has only a passing acquaintance in the night with the cdc team withdrawal in 2017. You might as well ask why Obama stopped funding the research in 2014, or why we didn’t allow General Douglas MacArthur to invade China in 1951 and stop this before it started.
Says the guy using whataboutism as well.
Am I supposed to be surprised China is doing what they have done before?
What do you hope to accomplish?

And that isn't what I'm replying to. I'm replying to an idea that you yourself pushed that blaming people is a waste of time. In other words, we basically shouldn't hold people accountable under that logic. I do not agree with that sentiment and believe that this needs to be the last straw when it comes to America dealing with China or America dealing with the president.

Social narrative is important. We can’t let disinformation from China control our people like we let Russian disinformation do in 2016.
People need to understand that this isn’t “one of those things”, but a failure of epic proportions at multiple levels - starting in Wuhan.

Disinformation happens internally as well.
If I had the impression; this was fact finding to improve procedure? I am for it. The problem? I doubt it's the driving force.

Yes. At this point and time it's an effort to shift blame from the terrible response. After the pandemic would be a good time to review procedure response and damages incurred. We know China fucked up. Nobody is saying they didn't.

Those shifty Australians, actually spearheading the international calls for investigation, braving Chinese threats to literally sanction them, all in order to support Donald Trump.
We’re going to have to do something about them eventually.

And immediately following that sentence you will see that The Black Forrest asserting that everyone does blame China. You see how that's relevant to your outrage about not blaming China? In other words, we basically shouldn't hold people accountable under that logic. Actually what I said is that I don't think that punishment is a useful thing to pursue.

Hey Gauth, why did we send James Alex Fields, the guy who murdered a protester in Charlottesville, to prison? It isnt like that brought back the person who died.
I'll answer that question. It's because when someone causes wonton death, they deserve to be punished. And keep in mind china was a problem for much of the world long before COVID. I still remember them forcing the NBA to not back the Hong Kong protests, and many of their supporters committing acts of violence for them at protests in other countries against the CCP. but please, why don't you cape some more for Xi and his cronies. Tell us again how because Trump fucked up, that automatically absolves Xi of all guilt.

Again. Not talking about the other nations. Just this one and the administration using this to shift blame from their lack of response and misinformation.

Okay then. So you think that at some point, we need to hold people accountable then, just not right now cause we're busy.
