That's one of the reasons I always make a couple of people co-hosts right at the start. That way if something janky happens, like my laptop crashes or my internet goes out, the meeting will continue.

I'll be sitting this one out. Will be doing some panicked phone calls trying to sort through the wreckage of my plans for my week off work once last-minute Boris finally gets his useless arse out the door to tell us what we're allowed to do and what we aren't.

That would be sensible. My work are Very Smart and have banned people cancelling leave because they're worried about everyone wanting to use it at the end of their leave year and the in-house timekeeping system doesn't let you carry more than a few days over. You'd hope they'd take that as impetus to introduce flexibility to the system given the current circumstances, but no dice. It's being presented as the workplace doing good work for mental health, protecting employees by ensuring they take proper amounts of time off "in these difficult times".
