Abril 8, 4020: The Republic has tracked General Grievous to Utapau! Perhaps this terrible clone war is finally coming to an end, even if we are on the losing side.

So probably either 16-17 or 18-20.

Gotta have a little bit of darkness within you just to survive. You gotta stoop low everyday it seems like. Stoop all the way down to the devil in these times. And then one day you look in the mirror and you realize that you ain't you anymore. You're just another monster, and thanks to your actions, someone else will eventually become as warped and twisted as you. Never forget that the best of us are just the best of a bad lot. Being at the top of a pile of feces doesn't make you anything but shit like the rest. Never forget that.

I would consider giving a basic phone e.g a Nokia brick around the primary school age if necessary, e.g if they would need to contact you to get home. A proper smart phone definitely not before secondary school age (11 years old). Even during the earlier years I wouldn't think of getting a really expensive phone as the chances of it being lost, broken, stolen, etc are quite high and yes I have quite a low opinion of teenagers at school on the whole but my experiences warrant that judgement. Beyond that it's their choice completely.
I'd also argue that if a child gets a phone too young it either distracts them or worse isolates them from basic social interaction with others which I have seen the effects of that on a few people I semi know.

AGREED. I've seen it firsthand. The entirety of high school for me seemed to be "now is she really listening to me if she has her phone in her hand and most of her responses are 1-2 syllables?"

Mine was when I had band rehearsals, cross country, and other extracurricular activities. Checks out.
