If I wanted to maintain America's position in the world, I don't, but let us say I did I would do a number of things. Firstly, I would prop up the UK and France as the leaders of Europe, them and them only. The Germans actually need to be taken down because their naivety and stupidity is currently causing a lot of problems in European outlook when it comes to power and control. Germany cannot be allowed political power. Second, support Turkey over Israel in the Middle East, the Israelis are not your friends and the Arabs are too stupid and fractured to run the show themselves. Third, build an alliance with India to counter Pakistan and to be the major power in much of South Asia and parts of the Pacific, such as in Myanmar, Thailand, so on. Fourth, secure the Americas; you lot can do this by the simple measure of not treating Latin America some amount of dignity (a tall order for Americans). America's main concerns should be its foundation sphere of influence, East Asia, where it already has some secure allies, and Africa. Whether or not to make peace with North Korea is an up in the air thing. Personally I would do it if I felt as though it could have the North Koreans drift a bit from the PRC. Leave the other parts of the world to partners and support them as necessary but otherwise keep distance. You could garner French favour for taking on more European responsibilities by promising to leave their influence in Africa alone.

Damn right China's gonna pay massively for all the lives lost as soon as the Xi virus has run its course. Forget lawsuits. An all-out cold war including harsh economic sanctions, diplomatic isolation and an arms embargo is the only way to go. All foreign investments in China must be banned. China must be given the same cold shoulder as Iran and North Korea. The Chinese Communist Party must be defeated and its subjects liberated from the inside. Waging a cold war against China is far more effective than any lawsuit.

You cannot get Chinese people to turn on their government by giving the dictatorship an outside enemy to fight against. Iran and North Korea are also still running, and how will you plan to enforce an arms embargo on one of the largest nations in the planet? And China has definitely dropped the ball by covering up the virus, but the world should have seen it coming when they locked down Wuhan. Instead, they sat on their high horse, confident that the virus wouldn't get them.

If you sue somebody and they refuse to pay, you can get a lien out on their assets and income.

Aside from perhaps alleviating finances, those who lost loved ones to CoVID19 still lost loved ones to this. What would a law suit accomplish there?

Also, what about our own fault here? Or of each government that dropped the ball managing this?
