non-binary people put it at 90 degrees so it goes under their crotch and then over the top of their head

And trans people just wear two belts, one each way.

Lots of rooms for knives and guns on two belts, so perhaps do not say that to their face.

No need to be upset. Generally accepted rules can have exceptions and what not for those it doesn't apply to.

Clockwise, despite generally being right-handed. No idea why, this is the first time I've ever thought about this ...

Belts hold your trousers up, with more precision than the waist band does. Even the best quality trousers (and let's not dispute what those are) will stretch over time, so they either hang too high when new or hang too low when worn in. Your eschewal of belts suggests to me that you just don't notice if your trousers are hanging too high or too low, and furthermore your conception of them as "cosmetic" betrays that you don't want to look more slender. Most people do, since obesity is strongly correlated with laziness.

I do not eschew belts. I wear them all the time. But that's not the point. A rope can keep your pants up just as well. And it's cheaper too. But you don't wear rope now do you? That is my point.
Than again I am not surprised at you failing to reply sensibly to me as you are by your own admition lazy and thus I would not expect you to read what I write before replying.

It depends. This morning I put it on clockwise only to find out I put it on backwards then I put it on counter-clockwise because the first time it was backwards. I'm right handed.

So it looks like I'm in the minority here. Guess I learned to dress myself and never looked back :P

High-five! ^^ No idea if it should be like that or not - I just put it on and call it a day. As I said, this thread actually made me think about that ...

You don't need to wear a belt with a kilt. Hell, you don't need to wear underwear with a kilt.

I read this:

Purpelia wrote:Belts are a fashion item like jewelry. Their role is to visually center your torso and provide a clear line between your legs and upper body thus making you look more slender.

And concluded that you consider belts ONLY a fashion item. I was rebutting that they have a function besides just decoration ... and I get accused of not replying sensibly.

Such hostility in a light-hearted subject rather puzzles me. More relevantly, it repels me. I think we're done.

Men's fashion has been stagnant for ~100 years, pants are oppression.

And you can thank that douche nozzle named Beau Brummel for that.

Don't need to wear a belt when you never wear pants.

I never really considered the possibility of putting on a belt in a clockwise fashion, it just seems kind of off...guide with your right hand into the loops, and when you unbuckle it you use your right hand. Maybe it makes more sense if you're left handed to go the other way.

Exactly! Men can be sexy without pants and I prefer women wearing pants or some kind of pants substitute like a skirt or dress.
