It's easier to hit the center of mass - the torso - than it is to hit the legs, much smaller targets. Besides, if you have time to get an aim on said smaller target, you have time to run and therefore not pull the trigger. Firearms are lethal tools and, as inhumane as killing somebody is, shooting to maim is also grossly inhumane. Shooting to maim also leaves no room to really argue self defense or immediate action when you have to take the forethought and plan to shoot somebody specifically in the leg.

And, ultimately, if people survived police shootings they'd live to be able to tell their side of the story. The police state can't have that.

It's a common misconception that shooting someone in the leg is somehow better than shooting in the larger area of mass due to the femoral artery being there. I'm not surprised Biden would say something like this: he like a majority of Americans are probably unaware of the fact you can bleed out within minutes if that artery is hit.

In any other election this might have been an issue. But we have a deranged loon in the White House who is so thin skinned that he throws temper tantrums whenever someone does not profusely bow to him, who wants to use government power to smash the first amendment, and the military against US citizens. Oh, and thousands (tens of thousands?) of excess Covid deaths caused by his criminal incompetence, corruption and malfeasance.

Drain the swamp, he said... he didn't mention the part where he would then refill it with raw sewage. Corrupt pardons for his criminal buddies (that is, when his enforcer Barr doesn't sabotage legal proceedings to begin with), sweetheart deals for his kids (such as the Chinese patents for Ivanka)... I wonder what the secret quid pro quo was for that?
