That's not the pessimistic mood I've been getting. More like "We can do this but not before climate change screws us over. "

And yet to bernie bros $3 trillion isn't enough to fight climate change but only since Bernie arbitrary decided to pitch a higher number once mainstream dems decided on the $3T number.
The details of the above post are subject to leftist infighting.

I officially endorse Fivey Fox for president of the United States.

I was trying to say his past record on immigration might actually be more left than what you're saying.
The logic he used to oppose that one vote is more rooted in leftist criticism on how capitalism exploits immigrant labor than anything else. It's shit Corbinites say.

I'd be more sympathetic to claiming that coherency if his immigration platform in 2020, by comparison, hadn't run so far in the direction of human rights foreign policy goals while sidestepping his long standing protectionist comments -- to me, that looks more like political calculation (which can be good!) than sincere evolution. Or integration, I suppose, if that's the word.

On certain policies, like guns, immigration and tax structure, I hear you. I'd see some of those as more culturally liberal (particularly in a US sense) than economically left, but fair enough.

I'm open to describing it as cultural liberalism, but either way, my point is that despite the reputation Sanders' has cultivated as a policy and ideas candidate, when you delve into the details, other candidates have comprehensively gone further than he is. He's not the left policy candidate, he's the left identity candidate. Which, gloomily enough from my perspective, probably explains a lot about why he caught on so much.

I do hear what you are saying, but on a lot of issues he was the left policy candidate. On healthcare, public college and student loan forgiveness we was more to the left than any other candidate. There were issues where other candidates were more to the left of him, or were more socially liberal than him, and I actually do wish he had embraced some policies such as decriminalising the use of all drugs (in order to help people cope with their addictions), and I wish he had supported Universal Basic Income.

I do think some people supported him because they saw him as the "left" candidate. I personally liked him because I agreed with more of his policies than any of the other candidates. I think a lot of other people also liked the fact that he had been fighting for a lot of these policies for a very long time, long before they were even close to mainstream, and that made it quite clear that he genuinely believed in those core social democratic economic policies. The image was part of it, but I'm not sure if it was the biggest reason.

You lot need $250,000,000,000 for small biz and you need it NOW... the good people of Maryland need to vote Ben Cardin out at the next opportunity

Since USA Today has opted not to make Rojava's article available on their shitty-ass European Experience website, here's the "Commercialise the Solar System" executive order

If aliens have the means to get here they have technology far more advanced than us and a war against them would be fruitless effort they maybe we'd get luck and it would end like Independence Day.
