The player who formerly controlled those nations had a large issue with following the rules about one WA nation only. As a result, they lost all their nations.

You really haven't grasped the idea of "knock it off," have you?

Was season 1 any good?

I loved the books, but I'm not sure whether the show is worth seeing.

Yes it was a faithful adaptation of the first book. As someone who read the books I highly recommend it!

Jim Carrey Returning for ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3’

Carrey said he wouldn't return for a new Sonic movie unless the script was very good. So I'm tentatively hoping that this means the script for Sonic 3 is very good. At any rate I'm hoping it's better than the first two movies. Because to be honest I didn't think that the first two movies were very good.

Still, if they go for a close adaption of "Sonic Adventure 2" then that has a lot of potential.

I also heard he really enjoys playing the character as he gets to go completely nuts with it.

I thought they were very good but I respect your opinion.

I thought the movies were fine for children, and fine for Sonic fans, but those seemed like the only demographics they were really targeting. Still, there were no doubt a lot of good moments, especially in Sonic 2. And more power to the people who really enjoyed the movies. I just thought they were a little bit of a mixed bag, and not really aimed at me.

Only 100 people worldwide have what is very scientifically known as uncombable hair syndrome. The BBC, in a recent, remarkable and much-understated triumph of journalism, has managed to scoop interviews with two of them in the past year or so: Sam Barley, a now-11-year-old in Lincolnshire, and Layla (whose family asked that her surname not be used), a 3-year-old in Suffolk. They aren't long or too pompous - do read them if you can.

The alternate official name is Tír na nÓg. Elves, leprechauns, dragons, and a bunch of other fictional creatures are real. The nation name is technically "Adharcáilí," (pronounced "ay-er-KOH-li") with accents over the third A and second I. However, Nationstates doesn't allow accents in nation names, so that's why I don't have them in the nation name. If you would like to refer to Adharcáilí correctly though, use the accents.

This is Ciara Mageean.

Image

She was born in March 1992 and grew up in the small, coastal Northern Irish town of Portaferry. She runs the 1,500m for a living, for Ireland. In 2016 and 2021, she was an Olympian, if not a finalist. She's trying again in 2024 and has the Rings tattooed on her. In 2010, a World Juniors silver. In 2022, a Commonwealth and European silver. Inbetween, injuries... and more injuries.

You see her above in 2023, after coming fourth in the World Championships. It's nearly a bronze, but she doesn't mind. She's smiling. She's doing the OK hand gesture. She's the fastest Irishwoman over 1,500m, ever. And to finish the year, the fastest woman to do Parkrun ever, of all the millions.

Time-travellers from the future won't be able to confirm this - Parkrun head office took the decision to stop publishing that information last week or thereabouts - but it's always nice to imagine. One thing to do Parkrun; another to do it when you're one of the world's best and set a record in the meanwhile. It goes in my Great Books nonetheless*. Do read.

(*: Much as should have Molly Siedel winning bronze at the most recent Olympic marathon despite it only being her third ever, one of which she redeemed to qualify for the Olympics in the first place, and Siedel herself specialising in the half-marathon. Unfortunately, I was absent from this thread at the time and have therefore been unable to bring the American's rather remarkable achievement to you until now.)
