Having released on the same day, an unusual friendship has developed between the fans of Doom Eternal, and the fans of Animal Crossing New Horizons (though I suspect there is significant crossover between those two demographics, such as myself)

Hit 30 yesterday. Didn't ask for a party, I'm responsibly self-isolating. Just a bit of a bummer hitting a milestone alone. A few friends, reassuring me they're healthy, are giving me a dinner today. The world's feeling miserable but my friends are still awesome.

Small happiness but it checks out.

Nice. Painting miniatures is actually a pretty awesome way to spend one's time. Pretty much the whole reason I got into Warhammer stuff a while back.

Coincidentally, they're pretty much two of the games top of my list to play. I'm even considering getting a Switch just for Animal Crossing.

I just made firework noises in my mouth to also belatedly celebrate your birthday.

And also the baby related to Alan Smithee Nation. Huzzah on both accounts.

How to make a black dynamite

25 ml vodka
50 ml black sambuca
275 ml Smirnoff ice
top off with coke

That's what I'm doing tonight, should make me happy.

You know what Arch, I didn't think it was possible, but somhow, this thread has cheered me up. Thanks!
Here's a picture of my dog. Her name is Belle:
Image

She's a cross staffy (Staffordshire bull terrior) considering that she's a shelter dog who was found (by the shelter) abandoned in a park, we don't know what she's mixed with, all we know is that she's not pure bred. Our best guess is Labrador, which would make her a Staffador, but we don't know for sure

And good on your friends, too!

My uncle is likely to be able to return to Zimbabwe once the pandemic is over and start farming again. Hard to think about what happened 20 years ago since I was so young then, and 11 years since my mum and dad left for the states with me and my brothers. I'll like some family back home, means when I move back it'll be less lonely.
I hope you meet the rabbit with the feather in her hat, the penny whistle girl with the orange colored cap.
Bells on her coat and a raggle taggle kind of grin, she'll teach you how to love if you believe in her
