If you're under fire in the no-man's land of WW1, you start digging a foxhole even if the ideal time would be when you *aren't* being bombarded, because once you wait for it to be 'time', other situations will need your attention, assuming you survive that long. Watched the remake of Roald Dahl's The Witches on HBO Max. Much darker and creepier than the original but not quite as impactful. Anne Hathaway was great as The Grand High Witch.

Scientists have created the first room-temperature superconductor

Room temperature superconductors could revolutionize the way that humans interact with technology. A superconductor is a material that conducts electricity with zero resistance, which means there is no energy loss during the transfer of electricity through the material. Historically, materials have only been found to superconduct at temperatures below freezing (often times requiring liquid helium to get them there, since the most available of these materials require near 0K temperatures). Applications for superconductors that operate above freezing are varied, and could be used in various circumstances from electronics to particle accelerators.

There are two massive caveats with this material, though. The first is it only superconducts at extremely high pressures (millions of atmospheres), the second is that scientists aren't exactly sure what the material is made out of. Nevertheless, it's a huge breakthrough in material science.

I work at a Hydroponics shop, and we just harvested two pineapples that we grew under a small LED light, they were the sweetest, juiciest, most delicious pineapples I have ever encountered...it may or may not be because we grew them ourselves, but who cares :)

Basically? Soilless gardening...The name hydroponics comes from the Greek "hudor" for water and "ponos" for work, or, water working...
