The great gods of the forest have been kind to me.
2 batches of Nocino are now underway, with a third planned for beginning tomorrow.
So far I have one variation with grappa, one with vodka (and one is a wee experiment with blended whisky).
Might try a variation with Lagerkorn, as from reading I can't seem to identify what would initially have been used by the Pretani when the Romans found that they made this drink, however wild barley and wheat spirit may have been available.

Yay! Sounds very good.

The airports in Cairo reopen on the 1st of July, and I've managed to get a flight home on the 3rd.

The down side is that I have to fly back to Egypt on the 18th, and will have to spend my entire 2 weeks at home in quarantine.

I don't particularly care.

Might be worth enquiring about.

I'm aware of that; but -

A) Unless Birmingham Airport is the selected test airport, it won't do me much good; and

B) I'm the class of people who are supposed to shelter due to underlying health conditions anyway; even taking this flight is a risk for me. I'm certainly not going to want to go out much when I'm home

At least you’ll be able to go home for a little while! That’ll be nice and cathartic. Best wishes and prayers for your safety and the wife’s safety!

It's terrible of me for finding this hilarious, but I do. Another of those Spanish amateur restorations of religious art.

They kind of made the Virgin Mary look like Cher... if she'd had a really bad facelift.

I think I need more jargon to understand what they actually did/proved in this experiment

I’m doubly weeping over this. 1) for being an art historian and 2) for being a Spaniard. Like, WTF? They ruined that work of art.
