Giant pandas are no longer classified as 'endangered'. They've been downgraded to 'vulnerable' on the global list of species at risk of extinction after their population increased by 17% in a decade.

I mean... sure, that was actually a while ago, but it makes me happy that they are doing relatively well. ♥

A 100 year old fish was found in the Detroit river. Staff from the Alpena Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office caught the fish -- a female lake sturgeon measuring 6' 10" and weighing a whopping 240 pounds. The fish was released back into the river after processing.
