I was going through my vinyl record collection today and totally forgot that I had Les Misérables on a double record set, so I put it on. It's got the story and lyrics on the inner sleeves that you can follow. While Les Mis certainly isn't "Sunshine, Daisies, and Lollipops Happy Stuff" it is still invigorating to listen to, and that in and of itself acts as a palliative via catharsis; so I thought it worth a mention here. You'll be able to get it on mp3 or stream it I'm sure, if a vinyl record isn't your thing.

Black - the dark of ages past!
Red - a world about to dawn!
Black - the night that ends at last!

Conserative Morality wrote:"It's not time yet" is a tactic used by reactionaries in every era. "It's not time for democracy, it's not time for capitalism, it's not time for emancipation." Of course it's not time. It's never time, not on its own. You make it time. If you're under fire in the no-man's land of WW1, you start digging a foxhole even if the ideal time would be when you *aren't* being bombarded, because once you wait for it to be 'time', other situations will need your attention, assuming you survive that long. If the fields aren't furrowed, plow them. If the iron is not hot, make it so. If society is not ready, change it.

It's my birthday.

I've now been adult as long as I have been kid.

Also, my NS has been a part of my life for almost half of it now.
