It’s really amazing to me that Archregimancy would make such a noble sacrifice, including potentially risking his own career as a mod, to create this thread...

(Yes, yes.... I know there's no thread ownership in NSG, but assume that I'm openly abusing my moderator powers in order to help cheer you up; you will be happy whether you like it or not, dammit; if it doesn't work, I'll just lock the thread).

I mean this is like...

I mean this is Stannis fighting at Blackwater (leading from the very front) levels of valor and heroism.

It’s like God told the angels to stand down but Arch said... “I understand. But I still have to try to help the people. I know there’s a risk but it must be done.”

I am truly moved. It is rare to see a poster with so much power choosing to use it for the greater good.

Ford unveiled the design for the new Bronco. The original Bronco ended production in 1996. I love the retro design.

Hate to burst your bubble there, but Arch asked the rest of the team for permission to start the thread as written and we all agreed that "Yeah, given what all the stress due to a global pandemic is doing to folks, a forced 'warm fuzzies' positive space is probably a welcome reprieve." :P

Speaking of happy warm fuzzies, enjoy some otters having an adorable jam session. :D And baby's first flight! (With a lot of encouragement from adoptive mum.)

I see... thank you for the clarification

On a happy note, I’ve discovered a hidden treasure in the house. There was this box of wonderful, delightful green tea chocolate snacks hidden all along. It was always there... I only just found out

A film adaptation of the classic children's series Wishbone is the works. For those who don't remember the series is about a Jack Russell Terrier who daydreams about being the lead characters in stories from classic literature.
An interesting aspect of nearly every episode had the final two minutes featuring Wishbone narrating some background description of how the episode was produced, including showing how stunts were performed, how costumes were designed, or how the visual effects were created.

Im surprised it hasn't happened already.

That would be cool but there are a lot of words like "could be" and "possibly" in that article.

I was able to purchase a secondhand PC a few days ago. It can run some games like the Sims 3 and Fallout New Vegas at low settings, but I'm satisfied for now. I haven't had a PC or laptop since 2015 and they're not cheap with the salary I have, so I'm very happy I was able to treat myself to this luxury. I'll save up to upgrade it so that I can run newer games. I was also able to rejoin NS with a new country because of this.

Back on NS after 5 years of inactivity

Oh man, seriously. Like a physical weight lifts off of you. Never had to do a dissertation, but my friends who did were damn near hysterical with relief when it was finally done.

That would be cool but there are a lot of words like "could be" and "possibly" in that article.

And an utter lack of data.

But! There are plenty more moons in the solar system, so we can seek out new life and new civilizations elsewhere.

Space the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. It's continuing mission to explore strange new worlds, seek out new life and new civilizations. To boldly go where no one has gone before.

I personally loved my dissertation, as it was a topic i was extremely interested in and enjoyed working with, but that day i handed it in for marking was amazing. It was now out of my hands, it was done and dusted and i could focus the next few months on my studio work solely. It was great.

And i got a First class grade for it so it was even better
