Megabattie just posted an update about a badly wounded baby bat she'd rescued back in December, who after several months in care has fully healed up and returned to the wild. Note: the video does show a few clips of her really bad wing injury... but it is a story with a happy ending!

All the warm fuzzies, I remember when she first rescued Tinuviel everybody was worried her wing injury would be too severe for her to fly again. So happy to see one beat the odds!

Ive painted about 25 miniatures last few weeks including a dreadnought. Slowly but surely im getting through my collection and i feel like my skills are improving. Its really helping me focus away from all the shit going on.

My nieces also visited for the first time in two months yesterday because of the lockdown. Was soo good to see them again and my mother was over the moon. Of course they ignored me for like an hour straight

Its a redemptor dreadnought from warhammer 40k (not my one)

Though i painted mine as part of the Crimson Fists space marine chapter, so its a darker blue, with a bit of silver and a Red left power fist. Few small touch ups left to do but its mostly done and im happy with it.

If i take photos im happy enough with i might put them up on the warhammer thread in arts and fiction but i dont like taking photos of my stuff yet lol

I keep seeing scarlet tanagers in my yard. It’s probably the most beautiful bird I’ve seen. I think I’m going to consider Ornithology since I love birds so much

Here is info on them if anyone is interested : https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scarlet_tanager

That’s a lovely bird! I’ve never seen that one. We mostly have cardinals and jays around my house. Which...I love cardinals.

If you want more information on birds for bird-watching purposes, The Audubon Society’s website has a ton of good information.

^-- Oh man, this so much. Whenever I'm doing some wildlife photography somewhere (frequently birds), that's my go-to for trying to identify whatever I happened to catch on camera.
