Sorry if I'm introducing you to a new concept.

When you were in school did you stand around in the back of the schoolyard looking at the ground with dyed black hair listening to cradle of filth?

Omfg, I heard them for the very first time at bloodstock last year. I've not heard much worse in my life. Even at school I had better taste.

i'm sorry if that's a new concept to you, vakolicci

DO DROP IT

Chances are that you're immune if you make it through the next weeks.

Well we would have had a good two month head start, three if you started in December

We didn't even have specimens of the virus in December.

Just wanted to post this here. Despite of all the sadness going on, there maybe hope.

It's stated the the drug hydroxychloroquine (along with a mix of azithromycin) was recently used in a study in France on few people with coronavirus and it was found to have helped the said patients recover in six days. More clinical trials are set to begin in other countries soon, including the U.S.

Considering that trump is promoting it, it probably doesn't work at all.

This may be helpful against bacterial superinfections rather than the virus itself.

Well not exactly. We knew of the virus since December thanks to the CIA. Our government ignored it. We could have been preparing for it then and then once we got our hands on some samples we create the tests

We may not be richer, but we are still wealthier in knowledge as a result.

If the WHO wasn't almost completely bankrupt we might have had a few samples.

At this point I think we are throwing everything at it and hoping something sticks

The US could have most definitely acquired some samples with or without the WHO. We have the ability to use special operations almost anywhere

The WHO has disgraced itself so much recently that I wanna write to the band known as the who and ask them to change their name to "those boomers that make rock music, no not the Australian ones, the british ones. Oh damn it that's still too vague!"

or it probably does, just that it would be grossly irresponsible to just rush it without further testing

trump might be fine with a few hundred or thousand deaths so long as he gets his fucking headpats, but fortunately he doesn't get a say in this

That doesn't mean we had specimens. Unless you expect the CIA to cap & bag some Chinese farmers and harvest their blood.

What do you expect? They have no money, hardly any authority, and countries don't want to help them out until something happens which makes them remember why they're there.
