It was recovering before the War. It is, no doubt. It still recovered though, you are speaking as though civilisation itself would collapse and we would be cast down to being hunter-gatherers like the savage Indians of the American Plains going all "Hey how are you, hey how are you, let me scalp you I am Buffalo Child". It is not going to do that, chappy.

Friendly reminder that scalping was introduced to the native Americans by the Europeans. Never forget that technological advancement does not necessarily correlate to social advancement. We had a country that proved that point. It was called Nazi Germany.

Reckless endangerment is a crime consisting of acts that create a substantial risk of serious physical injury to another person. The accused person isn't required to intend the resulting or potential harm, but must have acted in a way that showed a disregard for the foreseeable consequences of the actions.

Why not charge everyone with that who doesn't maintain six feet distance at the supermarket? Should everyone carry a tape measure at all times?

The coronavirus thread is reaching 500 glorious pages of discussion, so I thought I'd go create the new one. A link to the old one can be found here:

As the world goes into lockdown, as politics turns truly crazy, as the stockmarket sinks and Eurovision gets cancelled (by the far the worst of the 4), Nationstates forever goes on, so we can discuss what to do about the other things. If you like live feeds that count up the dead like some morbid census, you can find a great one here:

Right now, at the start of coronavirus thread 2, there were 11949 deaths. With a vaccine likely to take up to a year to develop, it isn't getting any better soon.

So now, let's chat about this years 'we're all gonna die' moment.

Great, now people are gonna think this is actually happening

Because what they did was clearly reckless and illegal in Florida.

It was not, actually. Whilst scalping existed in Europe up until the High Medieval Period, it had disappeared by the time of European colonisation. There are pre-Columbian remains that have been found with evidence of having been scalped. It is one of those inventions that seems to pop up in other cultures across the globe independently. Technofascism isn't really a thing. Don't give fascism additional bonus point to add more fluff to their stuff than what they actually have to offer.
