Never read the books and only saw the third movie. No one has ever sold me on reading the books and I've never heard anything good about the author.

I have watched a few movies here and there, but that's just me - a fair-weather movie fan. So err, there's that.

I have never read the books because I'm neutral with them, not out of hate or dislike; it was just something that I missed out on, and I didn't really bother to put an effort into getting a book. ^^;

I usually like thriller stuff. Or a bit of horror.

I read the books when I was a kid and really enjoyed them. I recently reread them as an adult, and my goodness they're shit.

The first three books are good kids books aimed for the former age group you mentioned. The remaining four books are definitely for a later age.

First Harry Potter movie / media I've watched was back in Burma, all in the glory of the VCD and "Oh my good God, everything is so dark and I can't see a thing."

I remembered being scared of that one scene where a guy dies because Harry stabbed the book with a Basilisk tooth (I think?), and I was like "Holy shoot, you can die from a random book?"

And it didn't help that I was a bit unwell / normal fever, but damn, I really thought I was slowly dying.

And the cure came in a combination of normal pharmaceuticals... And watching the movie for the second time. I overcame that fear after watching it again.

So, yeah!

Moses? Its complicated. A lot of those bridges and highways needed to be built. As horrible as the cross bronx expressway is... it is needed.

The public housing was not always as hideous as it is now.

Robert Moses was a Land of Contrasts to put it lightly. He liked public infrastructure and was a great urban planner. He also really hated black people and didn't like other Jews, so he used his powers to marginalise and segregate minorities with public infrastructure.
