I cannot fathom so many rural states turning to the Democrats, particularly over the issue of firearms, which seems to be a rather eccentric thing for Americans.

Last major female candidate I can think of who was a woman was Carly Fiorina, running on a record as a businesswoman; one that happened not to be as sketchy as Trump's was as a businessman.

The Republican Party is built on contradictions; a mish-mash of former non-interventionism with modern interventionism; a former slave-freeing party that turned into the racist one when Democrats co-opted the anti-racist vote in the 60s. To cap it off, it tries to call itself the party of freedom when pushing for capitalism, the end result of which is businesspeople buying politicians' loyalty, which made its own party's voters turn to Trump. Any further insanity is a drop in the bucket.

The GOP could go full circle for Jeffersonian Democracy and the Democrats serve the role of the Federalists.

Fiorina's business record never had the great comeback that Trump claimed in his, whether it be true or false.
As for contradictions, the southern strategy in the public imagination is a myth and capitalism is freedom.

The Republican field isn't really occupied by voters who think "I'll vote for someone based on their genitals." Or, at least, not in the same manner as Democrats.

Hmm? They vote male most of the time.

Let's face it, men and women combined, among supporters of each party, vote male. 2016 being the exception, (possibly on account of who the most mainstream male was) only a minority of "people as a whole" vote female. Does this not suggest that this gender role is the will of the people?

One good thing that Donald Trump is doing that too many people aren't aware of. It should be noted that the Medical lobbies are suing to stop this, whilst making a pitiful argument that people knowing prices before any medical procedures will just confuse patients.

We can't let Joe Biden win this November because he's on the side of the hospitals and medical providers that're ripping people off and that purposely don't want themselves to be subject to market forces. If Biden gets in, it means the price transparency that'll be forced on medical providers will end before it even begins, and they can go back to their previous games of jacking up prices to give private insurers fake discounts that're more accurately just mark downs from margin.
