I used to be active on a forum dedicated to Donald Duck. In 2014, Nationstates got insanely popular on that forum, and I joined. I've been on and off since.

A friend found the site and wanted to start a region and enlisted me to join. The region lasted a couple months, my friend CTE'd in 2013, and here I still am for whatever reason.

I was browsing the Internet searching fanfics and other fan material about Fallout: New Vegas, and I ended up on a defunct nation page named the New Vegas Empire.
After browsing the site a bit, I decided to give it a try, and I created my first nation back in 2017.

I've told this story before, but here gives:

April 2012. I was interested in creating my own country in real life at the time, and while Google searching on that topic on my afternoon off, I stumbled upon NationStates. Intrigued, it took me about 12 minutes to read the FAQ, and I was already hooked from day one. Other than about a year off from 2017-2018, I've been here ever since, though this is obviously not my first nation.

I found this site by going down the Wikipedia rabbit hole and finding the NationStates page. As someone with an interest in politics and geography this website sounded perfect for me and so almost immediately I created a nation with the name and flag of a country I had been creating separately. I'm actually annoyed I didn't find this site sooner.

I found it after someone at GameFAQs told me about a website where you could RP your own nation. I tried it out, and I haven't looked back.

I was looking up photos of "spacey tanks", and apparently most of the results on Google Images have links back to people's factbooks and whatnot.

Wanted a Sims/VMK/VFK-like game where I created my own kingdom, and that was basically the only one available. It's not even close to what I originally wanted, but I fell in love with this site, especially once I discovered the forum.

Was searching the internet for country-creation games because I wanted to create and run my fictional nation that I made up a few years ago and used in a roleplay on some certain website. Ended up here out of curiosity, eventually found what I wanted.

I found NationStates thanks to school. I had to define the term nation-states, and this game just so happened to be a search result. It seemed interesting, and I gave it a try. I've loved it since.

It was pretty odd, I was looking for an answer for a history project, which leads me here. I told some of my friends, and we ended up playing every day until now.

I read Jennifer Government, got to the end, wished there was more. Found the game, started and stopped several times. Tried it again last year and stuck with it this time - it's the trading cards that keep me (and the puppets) here now.

I was playing that civilisation game on coolmath games and failed. So I looked up political simulation games and NS was at the top of the list. So I created Skundi (and the DRF) in proper noob fashion with no real clue of what was going on.

I'd consider myself as technically one of the old guard. I knew of this place since 2002 if not 2003, when it was with Jolt. Back then I was Saiwan. However, I had a long absence from this website until I decided to come back to it. Thus, I don't have an antiquity nation. I could've if I stayed. Same situation I have with Neopets more or less, only I went back to that game much later than this one.

just about three years ago, and I'm still here. I don't know what his nation was though, but I kind of think he CTE'd.
