I have no idea about the texting part, but yeah, they are indeed strict. Kinda works for them though, perhaps.

Its just that. A city state in the world's luckiest location being at the center of the world's busiest maritime traffic route. Its problems pale in comparison to larger neighbors. Its like Singapore operates on easy mode compared to its nearby countries yet everybody showers Singapore with applause yet completely ignores the other nations who have it tougher than them. Like rewarding a rich kid with attention while ignoring the maimed war veteran beside him.

I respect the Swiss more than Singaporeans. Theyre on a land locked mountain province although they are at a center of the borders between France, Italy and Germany. So trade passes through there. But Switzerland is less lucky than Singapore though. Location wise.

Actually the underlying reason why I dislike some Singaporeans is their plagiarism of Philippine symbols.

I had a discussion on Wikipedia here...

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Me ... la_Merlion

How Singapore stole Manila's Merlion Iconography set by King Philip in the 1500s and then copyrighted it to their 1970s Merlion.

Whats worse is thaf they ignored my legitimate complaints that the words "Mer" and "Leon" are Spanish and Latin in origin whereas the word "Sea-Lion" is English yet they approporiated the term Merlion to the Singaporean use even when its not theirs to begin with and relagated the title of Sealion to the original Merlion users! Just because it makes them sound fancier.

Do you think that they're Theiving, materialistic and status obssesed?

I think it would be to everybody"s best interests that Switzerland be neutral since thats where all the rougue governments and the money to both sides of tbe conflict park their "Swiss Bank Accounts".

Always remember to copy and paste your latest draft to a Word document and save frequently. There was a 40-minute-long power outage that cut off my connection. If that happens, turn on the 4G on your phone/tablet, go to settings and activate wi-fi hotspot so your laptop can connect to your phone's network. Remember to watch your battery and data usage.

Except for Little India, which streets were full of litter last time I was there. Also, it's funny how the sign on the subway that says No durian has no stated fine below it unlike the No Smoking, No Spitting and No Littering signs beside it.

Singaporeans stole nasi lemak, roti canai (SgE: roti telur) and nasi goreng from us Malaysians, so the thieving part is definitely true. On the flip side, we stole Singlish from them and renamed it to Manglish.

No, Singapore did not have it easy. They did what they have to so that they won't starve given a lack of natural resources. I guess they're collectively driven to change their situation.

At the beginning, yes. But then again, if history is to be believed, Singapore is already a center of some local kingdom long before the Brits come.
Its old name is Temasek. I wonder what it means.

I agree. Indonesia and the Philippines are both archipelago countries and transport isn't that easy since we have to use more than just land-based transport. A problem comparable to Japan, but the width between Indonesia's islands are longer.

Pfft is this sarcasm or what?
I always think the police shows in TV....well, perhaps similar to what they do in real life but I always think since this is TV, with some dramatic twist in it. I don't really know.
With the intention of being not disrespectful, cops seem to be despised in some places. A well-known stereotype in my place is that cops are corrupt, especially the ones who handle traffic.

I think Singapore can be thankful to Lee Kuan Yew for that. The city-state seems to don't have it easy during their early separation days from Malaysia.
