I mean, seriously, the math is on the side of Medicare-For-All. I think it's natural for people to see the initial price tag and piss their pants a little bit, lord knows I did at first. But when it comes down to brass tacks, if we're speaking from a purely monetary perspective, even Medicare for All is preferable to our current bloated system.

again dont cry to me when loses and the House flips. I'll just say I told you so and by 2024 the country we know will no longer exist and it will be too late to do anything about climate change

Even if Trump wins re-election, the House is strongly favored to remain under Democratic control.

Nobody likes losing, I hate it with a burning passion myself. As I've mentioned plenty of times, any candidate right now is a damn gamble. Some gambles just have better odds than others.

Biden can win. Sanders can also win, especially since poll after poll shows that he beats Trump, and that Trump himself has said that Clinton nominating Sanders for VP was a nightmare scenario for him.

Here's the thing. This strategy you're following. It's exactly what your party tried in 2016. The votes in the middle you're trying to sway? There just aren't as many to fight over as you think. If you manage to energize the Democratic base, turn out the vote, and unite the Democratic base behind one candidate, I think you have the votes to win. I think Bernie is the best guy to do that, and I say that as one of those people in the middle who's anti-socialism.

Bernie isn't a Democrat and has been in congress since 1991, so I really can't fathom how you could conclude that he "represent[s] the rise of the far-left in the democrat party".

because he is a self-admitted socialist and an big outsider who somehow managed to take over large portions of the democratic party

and now he is cozy with AOC

As much shit as I give Trump on a daily basis, I break from liberal wisdom when I say that he isn't a moron. Allegations of his present state notwithstanding, I think it's fair to believe that he saw Sanders as a tangible threat. Because he was and still is.

Seeing as the hypothetical is Bernie winning the Democratic convention, I think that makes him a Democrat.

That seems like a likely outcome of the 2020 election, although the Senate majority will narrow. It's also very likely that the presidency will switch. But the majorities in both chambers of congress seem unlikely to change hands.

Not really. Pre-election polling was actually pretty successful at guessing the outcome of the election. It's just that a lot of pundits assumed the margin of error would skew towards Clinton when in reality it skewed towards Trump.

Indeed so.

Tulsi is polling at 2%, and to be honest, I can't be bothered to form an opinion on her. I genuinely can't tell you how she'd fare in a general, but I think you referred to her in the past tense for a reason, because right now, she's not relevant.

And throwing around the word "weak" without anything to back it up is itself a weak argument.

If you're referring to Sanders' heart attack, well I don't know what to tell you. A lot of people have heart attacks. So did Eisenhower. Bill Clinton's heart and health was a medical calamity, Reagan was riding the dementia train in his last few years of office, etc etc. Health problems have no bearing on weakness except in a purely physical sense.
