His views on the world and on what can be managed. A system like that which exists in the US? He will be the American Harold Wilson but worse. They'll try to strangle him more than they've tried to strangle Trump. Not to mention his views on the world such as human rights laws and all of that mumbo jumbo. Most of the world really only finds them useful when to use as a truncheon against the West or whomever they are in a dispute with. Everybody looks the other way when it is convenient and always will. That is the harsh truth of the matter.

Oh he definitely is in the early stages of dementia. He reminds of how my father was starting to become when he started going. As for the other parts it is more his honesty in what he wants and how he'll get it. Unafraid to blatantly use assassinations, coercion, etc etc. It is about time America embraced being an empire - begone with this wishy washy bunk!

Do you have any actual evidence that Biden is, as you say, "in the early stages of dementia"?

It is called observation of his behavior as of late and knowing how dementia can manifest itself. My own father started in a similar way.

Ha. Another dreamer. As you get older maybe take a few years off from your fantasies and see clearly the realities of elections in America. It's messy. It's ugly. It's full of cheap shots. It's largely choosing the lesser of two evils. It's gotten worse as I have aged and isn't changing but for the worse. Losing isn't an option in my plans for 2020. As for honor... Trump has none and btw, you spell honor like a Brit.

Well, if we're speaking English, we should spell like the country that invented it.

I'm Canadian, by the way.

Look, the issue isn't just how "ugly" it is. We should be brutally honest about a candidate's ACTUAL flaws. But drawing from the well of shallowness neglects the "honest" part.

I lived in Canada for awhile when I was school age. Nice country, nice people. Liked living there. Learned all the Brit spellings too. I couldn't believe how much harsher people were in the states when I returned.

Your shallowness is totally disconnected from the brutal US reality. I wish you had a point here but you don't. Listen, you'd best never move here if you can't stomach the shallow waters. In America nice guys finish last. Our elections show this clearly.

Oh? And? Not a lot of people like the harsh truth. They much prefer to live in a world of morally upright knights in shiny armor. That is not how it is however. Not even countries like Canada abide by it. Look at how they treat those Indians. Or how they look the other way when their mining companies shoot union and environmental leaders. That is how it is. It is how it always will be. People want cheap and easy things and a bullet and some oppression is a good way to get both! Nobody really wants a world where we respect each other and it is all Koombaya my lord - it's too hard and people don't like doing things the hard way. That is why people pitifully protest horrendous mining practices in the Congo for the metals needed to power the electronic device you are now using this very second. Oh you think what is going on now is impressive? Compared to the marches and movements in the 60's and 70's it is all quite pitiful really. In 1968 union and student protests almost brought down France - until the police arrived and made a few thousand people "disappear". And those were the good guys.

Do you have any actual evidence that Biden is, as you say, "in the early stages of dementia"?

Just listen to him talk.

In 2008, if you asked him a question, he'd give you a straight answer, very direct and no rambling. Now he goes off on a tangent and half the stuff he says doesn't even make sense. He is a good human being, but he's just not himself anymore.

Yeah, because it was so "nice" of Hillary Clinton to institutionalize black Americans with fearmongering about "superpredators," then turn around and ask for their vote.

It was so "nice" of her to rig the Republican primaries in favour of Donald Trump, rig the Democratic primaries against Bernie Sanders, to make Sanders supporters choose between her and the guy she pushed to the forefront of the Republican race.

Please. It's plausible that "nice guys finish last" in American politics, but your elections do NOT "show this clearly." There's a hell of a lot of ways to interpret those results.

So you think that the left are all just wishy washy people who want things the easy way? I understand what you say - but doesn't that mean we should just fight back against all these knights of false justice, against the false messiahs. Is it too hard to make a good world? i'd argue that the hardest part isn't making that world - but fighting against those that resist.

Our salvation will not lie in cynicism or in a surrender to oppression, but in technology and sociopolitical reform. We could cut the work week down to 20 hours and give everyone the same pay and keep producing all these things. Technology will - and almost already has - brought a world of prosperity and peace. People want cheap and easy things - you're right - and our complacency will lead us into Huxley's nightmare, but what you forget is that there is a lot of fat in the middle.

We can have cheap and easy for all humans, or we can have very cheap and very easy for 10% of humans.

I prefer the former. And so, I fight not for very cheap and very easy for all, but cheap and easy for all. We will enforce human rights, and we will enforce our standards. Why? For collective happiness. We must not let 90% of the world be deprived of happiness to feed the top 10% that is the West.

The GOP primary wasn't rigged by the Dems obviously, but the various leaks showed that the Clinton machine did favor Trump and wanted to try and push him as the frontrunner because they thought he'd be easier to beat. Rather amusing how that turned out.

Untrue. Biden's verbal mishaps are due to his severe stutter, as has been discussed extensively in this thread. Biden has always been prone to "rambling" when he isn't scripted because of his condition. If you have doubts about this, go watch his 2016 DNC speech. He gave an amazing performance - in my opinion, one of the best speeches of the convention.

But the Republican meme that Trump can beat literally anyone the Democrats nominate is well grounded in reality.

Very naive. Mass movements have effected change in the US before, and can again. The world is not locked into its current status quo for all eternity.

Your shallowness is totally disconnected from the brutal US reality. I wish you had a point here but you don't. Listen, you'd best never move here if you can't stomach the shallow waters. In America nice guys finish last. Our elections show this clearly.

HRC was a flawed candidate. Hell, she should have let Bill do all the talking. Or better yet, the party should have let Sanders win the nomination and not fuck him over with Super Delegates, which happens to be the nominating process's equivalent of Electoral College. Ironic, isn't it?

So, don't get your fine Canadian ethics too confused trying to interpreting our corrupt election practices. It's not even close to worth it for you Canucks. In the end the Electoral College may or may not graduate some nincompoop to the presidency, again. Just smoke that fine legal Canadian weed, chill out and be grateful Trump hasn't invaded your country... yet.

That's gonna be a BIG yikes from me.

Oh? And? Not a lot of people like the harsh truth.

I'm being lectured on harsh truths by a scientologist? Wooooow.
They much prefer to live in a world of morally upright knights in shiny armor. That is not how it is however. Not even countries like Canada abide by it. Look at how they treat those Indians. Or how they look the other way when their mining companies shoot union and environmental leaders.

But if someone wantsto do something about that they're suddenly "too idealistic?"
That is how it is. It is how it always will be.

With this shitty outlook, I can see how you'd think that.
eople want cheap and easy things and a bullet and some oppression is a good way to get both!

What's good about it? It's a waste of metal.
Nobody really wants a world where we respect each other and it is all Koombaya my lord - it's too hard and people don't like doing things the hard way.

The existence of people you deem "too idealistic" refutes your claim of nobody wanting it.

So, we're better off wallowing in the dirt of corruption than even trying? What a sad, pathetic worldview.

Also, how is abusing the trust of the people of the United States to distort the powers of your office for your own personal gain "honesty with foreign policy"?
Oh he definitely is in the early stages of dementia. He reminds of how my father was starting to become when he started going. As for the other parts it is more his honesty in what he wants and how he'll get it. Unafraid to blatantly use assassinations, coercion, etc etc. It is about time America embraced being an empire - begone with this wishy washy bunk!

So your belief is we shouldn't even try? Not just to respect human rights and help our people, but also to have a president that doesn't act like he tried to do what zac effron did, but overshot and ended up being 13 again?
