NY Times just called it too. From here on, the questions are how much and can anybody besides Sanders and Biden get delegates?

"The press is ready to declare people dead quickly. Well, we are alive," Joe Biden says just as MSNBC cuts in, stops carrying his speech, and declares Sanders the winner of Nevada.

Indeed. Moderates splitting their own vote will come to a head if it's Warren who comes third and gets delegates.

Lumen's been claiming that Trump will win without evidence for a while now. And when confronted with head-to-head polls that show Sanders beating Trump he dismisses it.

Lol before the edit it just said I'm calling the nomination for Sanders, so it was correct then.

I agree that polls aren't best, but seeing as one exists for each candidate, it seems far more plausible that Sanders has the best chance.

Unlike in Iowa, in Nevada, Sanders is by far gaining the most on realignment.

This is never necessary in a 'big' election like state Representative, as the chance of a tie when tens of thousands of votes are involved, is very small. Maybe it comes down to that, I'm not aware of it.

When precincts have numbers like 10 for each candidate, ties happen quite often.

Now what I think they should do is keep the tie and send "fractional delegates" then at the next level of caucus the fractional delegates might combine with fractional delegates from another precinct (for the same candidate obviously). But it's 50/50 that there would be an odd number of them, so even putting it off til later it might still be necessary to toss a coin or draw cards.

The cards are a bit of a gimmick (cos its Nevada) but they do have an advantage over coin tossing. Cards can resolve a three-way tie.

I, too, am in favor of cutting a person in half King Solomon style.

No, seriously, just give them a fractional delegate each this isn't difficult.

Yes, but it's only an extra 100 votes or so. Realignment shouldn't matter at this point: he has won bigly.

Lmao Pete is using his whole speech to rail against Sanders. He keeps using the talking point can't nominate a factional candidate which is extremely funny given Sanders won almost every category of voters today.

Plenty of Democrats are for Trump. Look at southeastern Oklahoma.

General election campaigning is going to be very different for Bernie than primaries. Mainly because the opposition is going to go full force with the s-word

Hey, do they count the early votes first, last, or at the same time as precinct votes?

If we're looking at just one type, then results are going to change.

The problem is that the Republicans have spent 30 years claiming that UHC and other social programs are socialist. I don’t think it’s going to matter as much as people think
