Which of course makes it alright, I suppose? Given, this IS New York we're talking about here, world renowned for it's compassionate and selfless populace.

Additionally, If they did not believe the wound was fatal this is even MORE reason to get him emergency help. A non fatal wound will quickly develop into a fatal one if untreated.

there is NO excuse for this behavior. Although this behavior is a symptom of the type of society we live in that glorifies selfishness.

Actually, from the way this story sounds, it wasn't fatal. Serious, but it could have been treated.

As such, as has been said previously, it might seem to a passer-by that one was not dying but rather sleeping. Were this to be the case, a person could very easily be forgiven for not wanting to awaken a homeless person, as doing so could have dire consequences for one's health and well-being, if that homeless person had not had much sleep for days, and this was their first sleep for a very long time.

Except that isn't the case. I saw the video he fell down immediately upon being stabbed. People rolled him over and took pictures of him then walked on. It was almost 10 hours before someone gave a shit to call the Police to come scoop his dead corpse off the sidewalk.

Then I stand corrected.

US 'good Samaritan' left to die
A homeless man in New York City who was stabbed after coming to a woman's aid was left to die while passers-by ignored him, CCTV footage has shown.

Police said that at least 25 people walked past Hugo Alfredo Tale-Yax as he bled to death on a pavement in Queens.

The 31-year-old from Guatemala was repeatedly stabbed by a man as he intervened during the attack last week.

The footage shows it was an hour and a half before somebody tried to rouse him and contacted the emergency services.

In the security camera video, a woman is followed by a man, who then appears to attack her.

Mr Tale-Yax walks toward them. Off-camera he is stabbed several times while trying to help the woman.

The camera captures the apparent attacker running away.

Mr Tale-Yax gives chase but collapses. He is seen lying in the street fatally wounded, as several people walk past him.

Relatives of Mr Tale-Yax said he had recently lost his job and his home.

maybe thats why I said I am surprised no one tweeted it or posted it on facebook because how could they not see it

people that live in and around their own kind tend to help each other
those that don't look the same, act the same etc etc the same tend not to... thats a fact of life

as for the right wing comment, not everything is politics, sometimes things are common sense
like, there shouldn't have to be a law that says you have to report a crime if you see one, but there is (thanks to the left side maybe for detouring away from traditional values like "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.")

and once again having to correct the left wing?
I didn't say I was blaming diversity, its the PEOPLE that make a town diverse, I know I am gonna get flak for this one stepping from the right but I'm thinking its the people walking by the bleeding homeless at fault, and not the right wing big brother camera's watching over head...........but then there is a good point why could use more.

Bullshit.

More bullshit.

You know, repeating your earlier claims and saying it's a "fact" doesn't really make a compelling argument. Am I conversing with a human being, or a broken record?

as for the right wing comment, not everything is politics, sometimes things are common sense

And some things tend to be found on the right, and some things tend to be found on the left. Your using this incident in order to gavel your bullshit anti-'diversity' or anti-'multiculturalism' gavel clearly identifies you in the former.

like, there shouldn't have to be a law that says you have to report a crime if you see one, but there is (thanks to the left side maybe for detouring away from traditional values like "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.")

"Traditional values." Yeah, you're not a right-winger at all! ;)

Please. Drop the act. If you can't even admit your own position why the fuck should anyone else listen to it?

and once again having to correct the left wing?

So you're wrong even about what you JUST SAID. How sad.

Yes, it's the people walking by doing nothing who were at fault. Not "too much diversity" as your bullshit claim would have us believe. QED.
